Conference Heat Sheets, Timeline, and Post Conference Dinner

Afternoon Country Club Swim and Dive,

5 Days Until Swim Conference! Please encourage your kids to get plenty of rest this weekend. Our last day of Swim practice will be Monday, August 3rd. Our last dive practice at The Country Club will be tomorrow July 31st, Haley will be at the Conference practices at Pepperwood.
There is not much seating at Olympus Aquatics, we recommend bringing shade, blankets, and chairs to set up outside the aquatic center. We will let you know where our team will be set up as soon as we know. Please bring plenty of water, healthy snacks, and towels as we do not want our swimmers tired or fatigued.

Swim Conference Heat Sheets and Timeline
Prelim heat sheets and the prelim timeline are available on the blog, http://slccswimanddive.blogspot.com/p/conference-championships-swim-and-dive.html. Take a look and get excited about what looks to be a very competitive Conference Championship.

Mandatory Swim Practice for Conference Swimmers Monday August 3rd
All swimmers entered into Conference should plan on attending Monday's practice. We will go over information about the meet and practice relay transitions.

Swim Conference Parent Volunteers
All families swimming at Conference are expected to have a volunteer representative AT LEAST once per day. We, SLCC, have some easy and great spectating volunteer positions. Olympus Aquatics spectating is poor and NO parents are allowed on the deck, so the best seat in the house will be as a meet marshall and timer volunteer. Timing we know how to do, and meet marshals will stand at doors to make sure only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers are on the pool deck. Sign Up to Volunteer HERE. We MUST have all our volunteer spots filled immediately. We need two more Meet Marshals for Tuesday Morning and four more for Wednesday Morning. We also need one more timer for Wednesday Evening.
Volunteers must check-in each morning between 7:30 - 8:00 AM and in the evening between 4:30-5:00pm. The Volunteer Check-in will be located inside the Aquatics Center, downstairs in the northwest corner. No street shoes are allowed on the pool deck! No food is allowed on the pool deck!

Important Conference Info., Results, and 24 Hour Fundraiser

Morning Country Club Swim & Dive and Happy Birthday Seamus,

We would like to Congratulate our Swim and Dive Teams on an UNDEFEATED season. The excitement around the pool continues to build for our Championship Meets. There has been a new page added to the blog with all the information needed for Swim and Dive Conference,http://slccswimanddive.blogspot.com/p/conference-championships-swim-and-dive.html. While we can only enter three athletes per event into conference we invite all swimmers and divers to finish the remainder of the season practicing with the team. We will be entering alternate swimmers into the meet in case one of our swimmers is unable to participate, alternates should treat the meet like they are racing. There will be swim practice on Monday, August 3rd at its regularly scheduled time. Also with Swim Conference conveniently located at Olympus High School we would love to see as many athletes and families cheering as possible, especially Wednesday evening as it is our final swims of the Summer and the Coaches even race at the end.

Message from Haley about Dive Conference

Good morning Country Club Swim and Dive Team,
As we get closer to Dive Conference there are some pieces of information I would like to share with all of you. As you know, Dive Conference will be held at Pepperwood Monday August 3rd. The eight and under warm ups will begin right at three o'clock and the schedule becomes tentative from there. Please arrive about an hour before your scheduled warm up just in case an event ends early. Below I have attached a flyer with the tentative schedule and some information about practices. Pepperwood has been kind enough to close off their diving well for practice the weekend before conference. I will be attending both practices so those of you who would like to practice on their boards are more than welcome to come get an extra practice in. The times for these practices are listed on the flyer as well. Please let me know if your child would like to attend one or both of these practices.
