24 Hour Swim Fundraiser

The Country Club’s
24  Hour Swim – A – Thon
August 7th @ 8 am – August 8th @ 8 am
Team Goal: $ 5,000

About: This year, along with our annual 24 Hour Swim and Dive Celebration, we will be hosting a swim-a-thon. The swim-a-thon will give swimmers and divers an opportunity to raise funds for our charity of choice, The Children’s Center.

How It Works: Each swimmer will raise funds by taking pledges from family, friends, and local businesses. Pledges may be made in one of three ways:1) Flat Pledges in which a set amount of money is donated  based only on the generosity of the donor, 2) Pledges per Lap, in which pledges are based on the estimated number of laps a swimmer plans to swim, and 3) Pledges per Minute in which pledges made on the amount of time a swimmer is signed up to swim. Divers may also collect pledges based on the number of dives completed during the predetermined dive time of the 24-Hour Swim.  In order to keep the logistics simple, we are asking that all donations be collected at the time the pledge sheet is filled out. This will allow us to give The Children’s Center our donation during the celebration portion of our 24 Hour Swim.

Donations should be made out to The Children’s Center. Please provide your address on the quarter sheet to receive a tax receipt.

According to the mission statement outlined on its website, “The Children’s Center mission is to provide comprehensive mental health care to enhance the emotional well-being of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. Each year more than 2,000 families come to The Children's Center seeking help with a variety of problems. We work with the child who is being expelled from preschool because of severe bouts of aggression. We help the child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We help families learn to effectively manage their child's complex developmental needs.”

Note: There will be a lifeguard or coach watching over the pool during the entire 24 hour period and the pool will be adequately lit throughout the night for the safety of the swimmers.
