Conference Entries By Event       By Individual

 Tuesday, August 4^th and Wednesday, August 5^th . 

Location: Olympus High Aquatics Center, 4055 South 2300 East Salt Lake City 84124.

Swim Conference is a Championship style meet with prelims during the morning session and finals in the evening sessions. Relays will only be swam in the evening as timed finals. Finals will consist of two 8 swimmer heats per event, the championship final and the consolation final. 

NOTE: Since we have fewer teams in the league this year a higher percentage of swimmers will return to swim in the evening finals session. We want to emphasize swimming fast in the morning as you want to be in the Championship final, the top 8 times from the morning, as you can only score in your heat in finals. Meaning that no matter what time someone in the Consolation heat swims in the evening the highest place they can receive is 9th. 

The Morning Sessions begins with warm-ups at 7:30am and the Meet starts at 8:30am. The Evening Sessions begins with warm-ups at 4:30pm and the Meet starts at 5:30pm.

All families swimming are expected to have a volunteer representative AT LEAST once per day. We, SLCC, have some easy and great spectating volunteer positions. Olympus Aquatics spectating is poor and NO parents are allowed on the deck, so the best seat in the house will be as a meet marshall and timer volunteer. Timing we know how to do, and meet marshals will stand at doors to make sure only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers are on the pool deck. Sign Up to Volunteer HERE. 

Volunteers must check-in each morning between 7:30 - 8:00 AM and in the evening between 4:30-5:00pm. The Volunteer Check-in will be located inside the Aquatics Center, downstairs in the northwest corner. Please remind volunteers that no street shoes are allowed on the pool deck! No food is allowed on the pool deck!

Team Areas will be marked with team signs inside on the pool deck and outside the south entrance of the pool. Parents will not be permitted on the pool deck, but they may join their swimmers in the team areas located outside.  Please remind swimmers that no street shoes are allowed on the pool deck! No food is allowed on the pool deck!

Swimmers prior to every race will check in at Clerk of Course where they will be organized into heats and lanes and led to the blocks. This will be located outside the south entrance of the facility. NO Clerk of Course for the Relays!

6 & Under events will be held at the end of prelims Tuesday and Wednesday. Once we have a time line we will send it out. All 6 & under swimmers can participate and will receive a medal!

Practice times for divers at Pepperwood:

Friday 31st July 5:00 to 6:00 pm
Saturday 1st Aug   11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Monday 3rd Aug 10:00 am to 11:00 am

***Pepperwood Pool will be open during practice times, but the dive tank be will closed to those not practicing for conference.  Contact Rian for an alternate practice time if needed

Tentative schedule for meet:

3:00 pm Warm up for 8 & under
3:30 pm 8 & under competition
4:15 pm Warm up for 9-10
4:45 pm 9-10 competition
5:30 pm Warm up for 11-12
6:00 pm 11-12 competitions
6:30 pm Warm up for 13-14 and 15-17
7:00 pm 13-14 and 15-17 competition
7:30 pm Coaches diving exhibition - Come support your coach!!!

This is a tentative schedule only!!!

If an event finishes earlier than expected the meet will proceed to the next scheduled warm up and then to the next scheduled event. We will NOT hold the event if a diver is not there.  It is a good idea for divers to be there one hour before their anticipated warm up time.  Or come the entire time and cheer on your teammates!    Awards will be given following age age group.   Each club must provide one table worker per age group.
